About Advantage Tennis Inc
Tennis store
Located at 225 Post Ave, Westbury, NY 11590, Advantage Tennis Inc operates as a tennis store serving Westbury in New York. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.
Tennis retail in the US is a mix of specialty tennis shops, club pro shops, big sporting goods chains and running stores that carry court shoes. Specialty shops and pro shops demo racquets for a small fee that is usually credited toward a purchase, and they string racquets on site, typically within a day or two, with string and labor priced separately. Sporting goods chains stock entry-level racquets, balls and apparel at lower prices but rarely offer stringing or fitting advice. Court construction and resurfacing companies serve clubs, schools and homeowners; a hard court is typically resurfaced every five to eight years.
Hours are published for 6 days a week. The most common schedule is 10 am–6:30 pm. Note that it does not open on Sunday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (516) 334-8180. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone.
On Google it holds a rating of 4.9 out of 5 from 68 reviews, which is a strong result for a tennis store in Westbury and suggests consistent service.
Westbury is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Westbury follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

I had a fantastic experience at this tennis shop. They restring rackets incredibly fast, and the quality of the work is excellent. What really sets this place apart is Adam. Not only is he knowledgeable and friendly, but he went above and beyond to help me track down my lost racket. That level of customer service is hard to find these days. I highly recommend this shop to anyone looking for quick, high-quality restringing and outstanding customer care. I'll definitely be coming back!

Adam was beyond helpful! I came in planning to buy a similar racket like I had been using, but Adam recommended trying a different, slightly heavier racket that he felt would better suit my game. I was torn between the two, so he let me demo both for a week. He was absolutely right. The new racket was a much better fit for me. His knowledge, patience, and willingness to let me test both options made all the difference. 10/10, I highly recommend coming here for all your tennis needs. Don't look anywhere else!

The first times I went here to demo rackets I had good experiences. However, I went back recently and I’m not sure I will go back again. First, when I dropped my racket off to be restrung, I mentioned I wanted less power and more control. The guy working told me then we should decrease the tension. So we agreed to decrease the tension from 55 to 50. When I went back to pick up my racket I purchased a used racket to have as a 2nd. I asked the guy at the register (possibly the owner?) if it was the same grip size as my racket, which he had in his hand. He checked both rackets and said yes, they are the same grip size. I get home and realize they are in fact not the same grip size (each racket clearly states the grip size, so he did not tell me they were the same by mistake). I do have a thin over grip on my racket, but it’s still smaller than the grip of the used racket he sold to me, especially because the used racket had a comfort grip on it making the grip even larger. It’s not the biggest deal, but why lie about it? So I brought the used racket to be restrung and regripped at my tennis club, and find out that decreasing the tension actually increases the power, which is the oppos

Just left Advantage for my first visit & the excellent reviews written before me were spot on. What a great place! They have it all. New & older model frames, all strings, sneakers, gear, equipment. The owner Adam is one heck of a guy, extremely knowledgeable & super friendly. If your in the queens/long island area, dont think about ordering online or the big box store. See Adam. Prices are great, service impeccable
